PREPPING FOR ALBUM DROPS
HAPPY HUMP DAY LADIES AND WIENERSSSSS.
So, you guys have seen me rant over and over about new music. Whether it’s a new single, music video, or album. You really get to hear it from me on Friday’s. Sorry not sorry. I thought about it, and realized we never really talk about the emotions that lead up to an album drop. I mean the artist is posting about it for weeks to months in advance. The delayed gratification is REAL. Not to get all Fifty Shades on you. We don’t talk about it enough.
This week is the perfect week to showcase this. Aminé is dropping his album on Friday. You already KNOW I am going to talk your ear off about it, but how am I feeling now? How are YOU feeling now? Album drop excitement is in the air, it’s electric. If you aren’t familiar with Aminé’s music...exit and come back when you are. He has great songs, and even better music videos.
For example, yesterday he dropped his “Compensating” music video. My favorite part about his videos is that he always showcases his friends. They’re never high budget music videos that include supermodels and money flying everywhere. He kind of proves that you can be successful and not NEED to flaunt your wealth with hot girls and Lambos. Also, he never forgets his friends, which I love. Sometimes when people become successful, they leave their main supporters behind, for fake people just as successful as them. HE NEVER DOES. He keeps them in the videos and takes them everywhere, and I love their energy just as much as his.
After the music video, I really started to get hyped about the album. The visuals were amazing, and I already love the song. Which makes me wonder what the whole album is going to entail. OBVIOUSLY it will have even more bangers. Will “Compensating” stay at my #1 spot? Or will something take over? I mean, a couple months ago, I was a ride or die for “Riri.” Now look at me.
So how do we handle this much excitement? Well personally...I am writing about it. How lucky am I to get paid to bother you guys? However, when I wasn’t working at a job like this, staying up until midnight (or 9pm) on album launch day was my method of operation. I feel like that says you’re a ride or die. Some people just wait until the morning. Did you know that?? How can you just WAIT for an album to drop and decide you’re going to sleep instead? Someone please help me understand because something is not adding up.
Tell me how you like to prepare for album launches, OR tell me how excited you are for this one to drop! I know the album is called Limbo, and that usually means how low can you go, BUT I know he’s going high with this one. Was that punny sentence too much? Alright...I’ll see myself out…
‘Til next timeeeeeeeeee
