Okay hey everyone!

So, I am starting to realize that we are all the same. We’re just all moody on Monday’s. If you’re not, you’re probably lying. For whatever reason, life just comes at you quick at the beginning of the week. If you’re anything like me, you’ll be dramatic and act like the world is ending. Hey, it’s Monday, so it’s allowed.

However, today we were given a lot to look forward to this week. I mean, simply being alive is something to look forward to. This week though, IT’S MUSIC. Yep, we got new music coming. We also have new music already here. Let’s go.

Let’s start with what’s already here. Aminé is back at it again. With his album coming out in about a month, he decided to give everyone another sneak peak today. His new single, “Compensating,” features Young Thug. So, you already KNOW what I’m going to say about this. YES, it IS hot girl/boy summer worthy. Guys, just because we are locked up, doesn’t mean we cannot have an amazing Summer. We can still do it safely, with a mask, with a couple friends. This song is such a banger. You will want to dance to it and I know the clubs would have had a field day with this one. He basically is singing about compensating for one’s feelings with their actions. However, he does politely say that no matter what happens, he always wishes whomever the best. I love the good vibes he emits. We cannot get enough over here at Absolute Merch. Clearly, we will be waiting impatiently for this album. 

Now, let’s talk about two things that are coming this week. Tuesday, July 7th, Madeon is coming out with a remix of SOMETHING. We have no idea what, he just teases things on his Instagram stories, and then leaves. So unfair. However, if you’re like me, you always sit on your phone until 9pm PST waiting for the drop. That’s exactly what I’ll be doing. Don’t worry, I’ll include y’all in on the fun. Lastly, we have Blackbear. He’s at it again too. This one truly has me quaking. A TWO PART ALBUM. “Everything Means Nothing,” will be dropping on July 17th AND August 21st. Set your alarms people, it’s no longer sad boy summer for him. This Friday, July 10th, he is releasing a single called, “queen of broken hearts.” This one sounds pretty savage. From the 20 seconds he teased on his Instagram that is. I am dying for some new Blackbear. This sounds like it’s going to be reminiscent of the “Digital Druglord” era. That time period was where I thrived. I know some people agree. I mean, we’re talking about blocking men for no reason kind of thriving. Savage mode. Will I be back on that grind? Probably not, it’s quarantine, I’m chillin. HOWEVER, I can definitely see myself singing this at the top of my lungs driving down PCH. It just feels right.
