Missing Live Music
I know you feel it too...the sadness in you feel when you know 2021 is many moons away. What are we supposed to do without live music until then? Scream? Maybe. Whether your niche was Coachella or SXSW, we feel you.
So many of our amazing artists were scheduled for lineups and tours this year, and we were all so stoked to go support them! While most are doing virtual festivals, in person it just hits different. Ya know?
Nobody:
Us: WE MISS CONCERTS
Anyways, why not talk about all the reasons our artists are amazing enough to make these lineups shall we?
For what would have been, Day 1 in the Coachella Valley, we have a stand out artist to mention. First being, Madeon. I know what you’re all thinking, “here we go again,” another rant. Ummm, duh. Personally, I have already seen this awesome human many years ago. Strong flex, I know. However, this year just felt like it was going to be amazing. With Madeon working so hard not only on perfecting his merch line, but also his stage graphics, it felt as if it was going to be a magical experience. Like we were going to start levitating or something. If you are big on the online music festival streams, you will already know about Secret Sky happening this past weekend. His set was phenomenal. I really appreciated how he kept the fascinating graphics, from the comfort of his own little bubble. It shows he really cares about what he’s doing, and we’re all here for it!
Suddenly, it’s Summer 2020. Who were we looking forward to seeing? Another honorable mention, Blackbear. This was going to be a mind blowing tour. Everyone’s favorite sad boy was going on tour with everyone’s favorite heartbroken girl (Halsey). This tour was going to be the ultimate one for people who love to be in their feelies. Both artists just singing about getting their heartbroken, and then going on to live their best lives. A fantasy for everyone am I right??
Besides artists we would have loved to see this year, plenty of our artists are doing tons of creative work during quarantine. If you missed it, Half Alive dropped their new documentary about their Orchestra album. This was so well put together, trust me, I’ve watched it like three times. It was so fascinating. Vaines is in the studio, as well as constantly going on Instagram Live, filling our hearts with a little comedic relief. He’s also making Youtube videos now too, iconic. Taylor Janzen found herself on the Indie Pop charts, with her new single hitting the market. AND SO MUCH MORE.
So, keep your eye on our pages, we’re always posting the new and exciting things our artists are doing. Even outside of their little merch realm!
