Happy Hump Dayyyyyyy ladies and wieners!

Has this week felt like the longest ever? It’s only Wednesday, I know. Maybe it’s all the bad news circulating right now, who knows. So, what do I like to do to make a long week shorter? Obviously blast new music. While this may not necessarily be new to you, it’s new to ME and that’s why we’re here today. To listen to me blab on and on about an artist I’m obsessed with. You know the drill. 

This week, particularly this super hot Wednesday, I cannot get enough of Quadeca. So naturally, I am going to talk about a couple of my favorite songs. Then, you can go check them out for yourselves, and see if we had the same interpretation.

Okay, let’s start with, “Uh Huh!” Can we just start by talking about the cover art? Part of me knows it’s supposed to be a person, but another part of me is like, are we sure? At some angles it looks like a goat. It really makes no sense, and that’s literally the point of abstract art, but I just need someone to help me out here. Can someone please DM me and let me know what it is in their mind. Thanks so much. Anyways, this song is badass. Plain and simple. It’s basically just Quadeca hyping himself up, rightfully so, and dissing everyone who was talking bad about him. The line that really strikes me is when he talks about doing a lot and he’s not even 21. I have no idea why, but I am always just so shocked by today’s youth. Okay realistically, I’m not much older, but I wasn’t a famous rapper before I was 21...that I know of. 

Another favorite of mine, is, “I DON’T CARE.” This one is a favorite of mine for a more mellow mood. The lyrics are a little more sad than I would normally go for. If you’re familiar with my posts, you’ll know that I love anthems that hype me up 24/7. However, I can also really appreciate a more laid back vibe some weeks. This week is that week. The only reason I say this is a little more sad than usual, is because he talks about not caring about anything. Someone loves him, and he just doesn’t care. He doesn’t even care that he doesn’t care. I mean, is that really sad? Or is that hot girl summer? Again, open to interpretation. Would love you guys’ thoughts as well. However, the end is actually really sad. Like I mean really sad, so just a trigger warning. He goes on to say he accidentally opened a DM from a fan. The DM goes on to say his friend was a huge fan, before he passed away. He listened to his music for the first time and thought he should let him know. I think this is where he started to decide to care a little bit. Or at least feel a little bit of emotion. That’s why I love it. The song has LEVELS. It made me feel LOTS of things.

I highly recommend following him on all of his socials, I promise you there will be more merch coming from him too. He’s a stunner.
