Can you tell from the title that today...I am feeling the no festival blues?? 

If you’re not new here, you’ll know that I FREQUENTLY complain about where I would rather be. At a festival. Or literally ANY live music event. In the past, you probably wouldn’t catch me at any metal shows, however, I will no longer be ungrateful when this all ends. If you invite me, I’ll probably say yes. Even if that means I’m the only person there in tie dye. TAKE ME AS I AM.

So...why am I thinking about this you ask? 

When I’m working from my living room, as most of us are, I usually have music playing. However, this whole week I was just feeling off. We all have those weeks. So, I was watching festival live streams while I plugged away. Sounds like a good idea, right? Wrong. It honestly felt like torture. Like I was watching a piece of my past life, that now feels like a dream. It terrifies me to not know when we will get that back. However, I know I’m not alone.

I can see you all are itching for connection too. Whether that be interaction from artists on social media, or just any new merch drops we have. I feel the energy from you, and it’s honestly contagious. I think dwelling on the fact that there is no live music, really brings the vibe down. I mean, c’mon, all our artists are releasing SUCH good tunes during all of this. I’m not even going to name names, because you all have heard enough from me about my flavor of the week. Or the last two. I dunno, I’m obsessed with our artists. 

So people...WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO. I can’t complain about this anymore, it’s just unfair for everyone involved. When in doubt, we’re going to Spotify it out. Listen...I’m not going to sit here and roast those of you who love Apple Music, but get it together. This is a Spotify family...I promise I will make it worth it for you.

Okay, so here’s my plan. I’m going to basically create a lineup for you guys, via Spotify. The best of various artists, so you can build a queue that feels like running back and forth from stage to stage. It’s kind of a fun game. If you’re the type to only stay at one stage and watch all the artists there, I’ll get you something good too. I’ll pair up some people who would play at the same venue. Call it the Coachella of Absolute Merch. Absolute Coachella anyone?? It’s coming...this week. We are going to have the party 2020 told us not to have. Instead of complaining about how much it sucks, we’re going to make it better.
